Something worth checking out

Okay, you all know by now that I follow Kristina Werner's blog. Recently she came across a couple of cool videos on youTube that she shared on her blog, a 2-part tutorial for a big button/ribbon embellishment on a card. The button/ribbon thing was cute, but I've seen that done before, so mostly I just enjoyed the music. What really caught my attention was something in the second video- something I've never seen before. A card-sized reverse mask was used to help decide on a color combo/layout for the card. You really need to check it out, because I can't really explain it, and I don't know if it's something she came up with herself, or what. I imagine she just cut a 4.25" x 5.5" rectangle out of a 12 x 12 piece of black cardstock.
Very cool idea.

You can view the video here.
