New Catalogs have Arrived!

Stampin'Up!'s new catalogs are here!! Drop me an e-mail or give me a call if you'd like one. I just got back from Virginia Beach. Deb took me and the boys again this year, and we had a great time. I'll be spending the week-end trying to get caught up with all my BSS stuff as well as my SU! stuff, but I got a new computer, so it should be easier to keep everyone updated (YAY!!)

Soo.... I need to go work on class samples for Sharon, and finish my cousin's graduation I'll leave you with something fun to check out. Even tho' I should be promoting the !!!!awesome sets!!!! in SU!'s new catalog, I couldn't help but be excited to find out that the sentiments from the Faux Ribbon set from Paper Trey **perfectly** fits SU!'s oval punches!

Amy Rysavy made a great ATC that shows off the punches/sentiments perfectly on her blog, Prarie Paper & Ink. Check it out here.

I'm not sure without trying it out, but I'm guessing that if those sentiments fit SU!'s oval punches, that they would fit Fiskars new oval punches, as well. The sizing is pretty close. (but not exact.)

June Stamp Club Sample

This is one of the samples we made at Club this month. It was designed to be a Father's Day Card, but Mom made this one into a Birthday Card for David.

The card uses the new Celery designer series paper from Stampin' Up! from the pallet o' prints pad, along with Celery and Chocolate Chip Cardstock.

The inspiration for this card came from Julee Tilman. She has a great blog that I frequent called Poetic Artistry. You can see the original sample here.

Card Sketches

I've been meaning to post this for some time now. My friend Elizabeth has a blog just for card sketches. You can check it out here.

She also has some really amazing artwork on her regular blog, Art in Progress. Check it out.

All of the teachers and staff at BSS have blogs now. The links to all of our blogs are on the BSS blog, here.

Plus, you can see a pic of the cool new papers & stuff that just came in!

Beautiful Baroque Stamp Set!

I don't have mine yet, but Debbie Olsen has done an amazing card with the new Baroque Motifs set from Stampin' Up! It will be available in the new catalog after July 1st. Debbie's card also uses new colors for the 2007 In Color line.

You can view Debbie's card, along with all of her other awesome work on her blog. I've also added the link, along with a few other favorites, on the right side of my blog.

You can see more samples of this awesome set here

Lockhart Stamp Company Recipe Contest

This looks like so much fun! Check out the details here. If you don't have any Lockhart Stamps, Sharon at Buffalo Stamps & Stuff carries them locally- you can get store information here.

Julie, this is right up your alley. Maybe you can stamp something quick, before your wrist operation!

The deadline for entries is June 30, I believe.

Happy Stamping!

Stamping Chaos

Well, at least I know I'm not alone! Now, I know that my mess is so much worse than this, but it's funny how much alike we stampers can be. This is mostly to show my family that I am not the only one on the planet with this type of stamping mess! But if you have a similar looking stamp/scrap area, it might make you feel a little better, too- lol!

More Doodle This

Doodle This card, created by Claudia McClamb. The card is stamped in black on pink passion or pixie pink (can't remember, and can't really tell for sure.) The white is where the images were highlighted with white gel pen. Isn't this a fun card?

Remy (AKA the tp shredder)

Well, I forgot to turn the second photo when I uploaded, so you'll have to look sideways, but I thought this was just *hysterical* (roflol). We were winding up stamp club last month, and mom went to use Claudia's bathroom. She started to walk in, and said, "Um, Claudia? I think there's something wrong with your toilet paper." I peeked my head around the corner to look, and just bust out laughing. I had to take a pic of the tp mess and the guilty party, Remy. Claudia calls her the dollar store cat, because "she's slightly irregular". lol. The pic of Remy is slightly blurry, because she didn't want to sit still to have her photo taken. I thought this was just tooo funny, though- so I had to share!

Copic marker sample

Well, I promised a sample a while ago, so you could see how nice the copic markers work with rubber stamps. For now, I have the next best thing- a link to a sample I saw on someone else's blog. The sample was done by Amy Rysavy. If you look closely at how the image is colored, you can see that there is no streaking or bleeding of the markers- the finished image is very professional looking. Click here to check it out.

Great pairing of sets!

This card by Bobbie Meyer was done with 2 sets that go great together- Fontastic (retiring background stamp) and Off the Chart from the spring mini catalog. I thought it was a great pairing of sets!

I love quick and easy cards that make a big impact. I am sorry to see some of these retiring sets go, but OOH I can't wait to see the new ones!

Well, You'd think this blogging thing would be easy. I probably should have waited 'til we got a new computer before I started the blog. This one(computer) is such a pain that I've been avoiding using it at all.

Anyway-- lets try the ATC from Wendy again:
Isn't it so cute? I really love it. Plus, it was a RAK, so that made it even more special :)
