Cheap craft pan idea

I came across a really inexpensive idea for an all-purpose craft pan the other day. I was shopping for a new litter pan for the cats (1 cat+3 semi-grown kittens=need for more than 1 litterbox). Anyway, Target has mini size litter pans for only $2.00. I was thinking it was the perfect size for the kids to use to play with their moon sand, play dough, etc. and not get it all over. Then I realized, it was also a perfect size for doing messy background techniques, etc. in. It's almost as cheap as a dollar store disposable aluminum pan, but re-usable, more durable, and easy to clean. It's big enough to hold whole sheets of 8.5 x 11 cardstock, but not much bigger. It's also deep enough to hold a few inches of liquid, or shaving cream, or whatever, but not as deep as a full size litter pan- so easier to store.
If anyone else has seen any good dollar store-type items for stamping lately, please share. Just click reply to post at the bottom of this post. Speaking of which- I also noticed that the stampable mugs are on sale at AC Moore this week for only 59 cents.

Happy Stamping!
